High quality refurbishment project of balconies and terraces
This prestige development on the edge of Regents Canal used the MyDek Delta20 board on our standard box rail and cleat support system.
Gainsborough Studios is a gated development with around 250 apartments and a 24-hour concierge. It was designed by the renowned architecture practice Munkenbeck & Marshall in 2003, who refurbished the old film studios used by Alfred Hitchcock. It occupies a site between the Regent’s Canal on one side and Shoreditch Park on the other.
The development has extensive penthouse apartment terraces which have been superbly decked by the Guildmore team. The high quality workmanship and positive can-do attitude saw them producing some great ideas and specific applications such as unique step details.

Specific Challenges solved
The roof top terrace was a large area of decking requiring the addition of a step detail from the patio doors. The team created this from scratch using the standard MyDek substructure system and used the deck boards for the facing detail. The attention to detail of the whole installation is impressive and a real testimony to the skill of the Guildmore team.
