Balcony decking safety
To address external fire safety concerns and protect residents in high-rise buildings, the government introduced new stringent fire-safety regulations for external walls as part of the Building Safety Act. The regulations included a requirement for all residential buildings over the height of 18m need to be built with non-combustible materials, including balconies.
MyDek’s aluminium and non-combustible composite decking solutions provide the perfect replacement for non-compliant balcony decking. Our balcony decking systems are A rated for fire compliance with Part B legislation, meaning that we can help building owners and developers ensure that their balcony decking is fully compliant with the new legislation and will last for decades to come.

Meanwhile, our Luxura range is a contemporary balcony decking product offering a safe, practical alternative to hardwood timber. With a natural textured woodgrain pattern available in 3 colours, Aged Oak, Golden Oak and Hickory, this board is the go-to choice for balcony decking. Luxura Deck 200 provides the ideal solution where a timber-like appearance is desired without compromising on safety or performance.

MyDek’s drainage channel fits seamlessly between balcony decking boards to direct water away from balconies below and close off sight lines between balcony decking boards, maximising privacy for residents. In addition, we offer a furniture anchor which fits between the balcony decking boards to ensure that any furniture is kept safe in high winds.

Delta20
Delta20 is the low-profile board option for direct fixing to steel balcony frames without clips. The simple clip-in cover conceals all fixings and enables quick and easy installation to a variety of substrates using standard self-drill fixings.
Delta30
No clips required! The Delta range is the ultimate high-performance MyDek board that simply fixes directly to the balcony frame. Delta30 provides an outstanding span of up to 1000mm, meaning less substructure supports are required, thus reducing material costs and installation times.
