Grosvenor Waterside is a residential development comprising a range of luxury apartments and penthouses. Set across seven and a half acres and overlooking the Grosvenor Canal, this development boasts contemporary design and beautiful views, with all the benefits of a vibrant city community.

The development required remediation work to replace timber decking and handrails which were non-compliant to the latest fire regulations. ALU Installations installed over 1,000sqm of MyDek’s Delta20 system onto the balconies and terraces in the Hirst Court and Hepworth Court buildings.
Rated A2 for non-combustibility, this durable aluminium deck board has been designed to provide safety and peace of mind to residents for decades to come.
Specific Challenges solved
As no scaffolding was allowed on site, the team’s main challenge was accessing the balconies, but with the use of personal body cameras, they were able to gain access via the properties and carry out the work using harnesses, lanyards and span sets. This ensured the safety of both the residents and the workers, enabling the work to be completed efficiently and to an excellent standard.
