Creating Aluminium has minimal long term impact on the environment.

Aluminium is created from bauxite ore which is mined from reserves all over the world. Bauxite is generally found in deposits 4-6m thick just below the top soil and deposits are extracted by out-cast mining where the standard practice is to store the top-soil removed and use it in site restoration. This ensures minimal long term impact on the environment during aluminium extraction.                                                         

Aluminium is very durable and has a long life span.

Since aluminium is more durable than many other materials, it doesn’t need to be replaced as often. It is strong and highly malleable, highly resistant to rust and corrosion caused by modern industrial pollutants and requires very little, long term maintenance. Its life span is measured in decades rather than years.

It is an inexhaustible resource and highly sustainable.

Aluminium is the third most abundant material on earth (after oxygen and silicon) and the current reserves are estimated to last for at least 400 years not factoring in recycled aluminium. Since aluminium is endlessly recyclable, the reserves are essentially inexhaustible.

Recycling aluminium uses just 5 % of the energy needed to create primary aluminium.

The recycling of aluminium creates high quality material that loses very little of the physical properties of primary aluminium. Since it takes only 5% of the energy needed to create it from bauxite, it is regarded as the world's most sustainable building material.
